Both timid and shy and being in a vastly different world, the young pair took up residency in a shack on top of Potrero Hill, with one of the best views of Twin Peaks any one could ask. With absolutely no other skills to my name, I volunteered at the Potrero View, a local small paper. I was "hired" to help with graphics along side a somewhat legend, Larry Gonick. Working there for quit a while, I learned all that I could, and soon found myself, along with my girlfriend, pregnant...like I said earlier, with no other skills in hand, I was the top nominated choice for being elected "house husband". A grand position for someone who hated to leave the house and wanted to study art, and draw. This was the very early 80's and not many men did this type of thing. Being chastised in the park, on a regular basis, being the only man with a child during "working" hours made me tough, to say the least. The other "mothers" wouldn't have anything to do with me and my beautiful daughter, but this was not any kind of determent.
Well a few years passed and divorce was on the horizon, I was unceremoniously kicked out of the house with 10 dollars in my pocket, a backpack and not a clue.
